Plan for the expanded state
A bag that fits your transport requirement when lightly packed can become a different proposition when expanded and filled. Decide whether the added space is an occasional option or part of every trip. If you always need it, evaluate the larger measurements as your normal bag size and make sure the packed load remains practical to carry.
Check structure before counting outfits
The amount of clothing you can pack depends on shape and internal divisions as well as overall volume. Look for actual measurements and photographs of the open bag. If shoes or a work device must share the space, confirm their storage rather than assuming specialized compartments from a travel-oriented title that does not list them.
