An 8.5-liter bag rewards a specific packing list
Start with passport, wallet, phone, glasses, small battery and tablet. Then test the remaining 10 × 13 × 3.5-inch envelope against bulkier items. A refillable bottle or compressible layer may fit differently from flat documents, and a compact capacity leaves less room to work around an awkward shape.
The current reference lists a cord grommet and a back zip tablet pocket. Those details favor controlled access to small electronics; they do not establish a padded laptop compartment or a suitable place for a full travel wardrobe.
Map valuables to the protected storage
RFID protection is attached to the passport pocket and back wallet in the current model description. It does not cover every compartment or prevent physical removal. Likewise, slash-resistant interior panels and the double-cable strap should not be rewritten as slash-proof construction or a theft guarantee.
Locking zippers trade quick entry for another control. Practice the mechanism, keep the bag attended and decide whether the protected openings line up with the things you reach for most often.
