Choose the 18L when your normal belongings form a predictable, relatively small load. If lunch or a spare layer regularly causes crowding, the 22L offers a modest capacity step without moving to the 34L. Check how the laptop pocket and main compartment share usable space when both are occupied.
External storage still needs verification
Inspect the cargo net's adjustment and the stability of anything you intend to secure there. Its presence does not establish protection for fragile items or a carrying limit. Confirm the selected finish and water-resistance details too, because the standard Black and reflective offers should not be assumed to share every material property.
