Focus on the device you use now
Measure the laptop with its normal cover or case and compare the result with the sleeve specification. A 14-inch screen does not guarantee an identical chassis across manufacturers. If your computer already fits a dedicated sleeve, decide whether that sleeve will also go inside the bag before judging how much additional space is needed.
Compare overall storage separately
A smaller laptop compartment can coexist with different main-compartment sizes. Look for the external dimensions and interior photographs rather than drawing conclusions from 14 inches alone. For a school routine, check the largest folder or book; for work, assess the charger and lunch container. Each can determine suitability independently of the computer.
